Synonym:


Lithology and Thickness

Widely distributed quartzose sandstone, progressively becomes younger to the South. Associated volcanic rocks. Base of unit marked by shales, marls, variegated sandstones and limestones which extend widely across Sinai and the Northern Eastern desert. Weathers brown.
